Though I was born in Amsterdam, I grew up on the Caribbean island of St. Maarten. Apart from making me fully bilingual in English and Dutch, this has also given me insight into different cultures and lifestyles. This allows me to work efficiently in a multicultural environment, and easily adapt to new projects regardless of the background or target market.
I was educated as an Industrial Design Engineer at the Delft University of Technology where I received an MSc in Integrated Product Design in June of 2012. My master thesis was used in a scientific paper which was published by ACM.
More recently, the Etergo AppScooter which I designed won the 2020 German Design Award for ‘Excellent Product Design’ in the Motorcycles category.
I consider myself to be a realistic and down-to-earth designer, with a preference for clean, minimalistic and functional designs. I love creating products that aren’t just aesthetically pleasing but are also a pleasure to use. I enjoy working with my hands, be it sketching or building prototypes. My sweet spot is the balance between leading a team and executing design myself.
Currently, I'm designing awesome products at REGGS in Amsterdam.
